Privacy Officer (Dutch Speaking)

Your impact and responsibilities

As Privacy Officer, you will be the point person on everything related to privacy, ensuring LOGEX is complying to the highest standards of data protection and privacy (policy) implementation. Specific responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the organization-wide Privacy Policy.
• Supervise the handling of personal data and ensure compliance with the GDPR and the LOGEX Privacy policy.
• Monitor compliance with the GDPR and internal privacy policies to ensure that the organization complies with applicable laws and regulations and takes appropriate action to address any privacy breaches.
• Advise the board on privacy-related matters that are important for business operations.
• Advise on, review, and update processing agreements.
• Lead the execution of a Data Protection Impact Assessment and/or Data Transfer Impact Assessment.
• Assess and coordinate the handling of data breaches, including contacts with the controllers, and provide follow-up measures to prevent recurrence.
• Handle requests from data subjects and internal privacy-related questions.
• Responsible for coordination with local teams.
• Responsible for correctness/completeness of processing registers.
• First point of contact for the Data Protection Officer (of customers or suppliers, for example). 
• Maintain contacts with clients, particularly healthcare organizations, researchers, and soon also registration holders, regarding:
  • Legal matters regarding processing and processing agreements;
  • questions about processing / performed DPIA / DTIA / security of the processing / processing register;
  • handling personal data breaches/register of data leaks. 
• Maintain contacts with organizations, including Health Insurers Netherlands (ZN) and Dutch Association of Hospitals (NVZ) about:
  • General (national) agreements on privacy and security-related subjects
  • Support and advise registration holders with their GDPR compliance.

Your team

In this role, you will closely with both Data and Legal teams at LOGEX. You will report for employee and HR matters to Head of Group Data Analytics, but will report with regards to your work and LOGEX privacy matters directly to the CEO of LOGEX.

Your profile

We’re looking for a proficient Dutch and English speaker with general knowledge of:

• Privacy, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) and the UAVG.
• Demonstrable via at least CIPP/E and preferably also CIPM certificate or comparable.
• Relevant Dutch and European regulation policy (Wegiz, WGBO, Wkkgz, Wabvpz, EHDS, COREON, WMO.
• Be (at least at a high level) aware of scientific research methodology and able to read research protocols.
• At least be able to read research protocols.

And a demonstrable ability to:

• Develop and implement privacy policies that meet legal requirements and the specific needs of the organization.
• Assess the privacy risks of an organization and take appropriate measures to manage these risks. This includes conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and identifying potential data processing weaknesses.
• Communicate effectively to explain privacy issues and policies to board, employees and stakeholders.
• Provide training and guidance to raise privacy and risk awareness and ensure employees are aware of privacy requirements and procedures.
